It was with great shock that the entire Management and Staff of NAPIMS received the news of the death of one of our outstanding Public Relations Professionals – Mrs Agnes Dedeola Shodiya. Mrs Shodiya had a very successful career in NNPC which spanned over a period of 25 years. She was recruited into the Corporation on February 13th 1984 as a Media Officer in the Group Public Affairs Division.
Until her death, she was a Deputy Manager, Community Development in charge of Shell Petroleum Development Company. She was exposed to several training programmes both within and outside the shores of the country. During her lifetime, she worked tirelessly to build unity and maintain regular communication with others – an ardent team player. She was interested in the progress and achievements of NNPC through the way she discharged her various responsibilities.
Born on 18th of January 1955 in Ile-Oluji, Ondo State to the Akinnuso family, Agnes was very kind hearted, generous and hard working. She showed outstanding commitment to her spiritual life. Indeed, she will be greatly missed. Our consolation, is that her memory shall remain sweet as her spirit finds rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We pray that the Almighty God will grant her children and entire family members the fortitude to bear this huge loss.
Adieu Mrs Shodiya!
